Our first update...

Day 1- We made it safely and with all luggage! What a blessing! We
ended up staying here in Kiev for the night and we are excited about
not being on a bus for 8 hours yet! We got to go shopping in the city
and loved it. It was very different but so much fun! We also got to go
to our first Ukranian restaurant. Many of us tried new things and some
played it safe!! I'm sure you will hear all about it! We walked a ton
and we are getting plenty of exercise, so don't worry!! We are ready
for a good night sleep in a bed and we will be ready for what tomorrow
brings! Thanks for your prayers and please continue to send them. We
are so excited about this trip and we can't wait to impact the lives
of people here!!

Day two here in Ukraine has been quite an interesting one. We loved
shopping in the city yesterday and the buses were an experience for us
all! We were scheduled to leave Kiev this morning and head to Kherson,
but as always in life, schedules don't always hold up. Today's lesson
for us has been one in patience! We got thirty minutes down the road
and had to stop and we have been in a McDonalds for the last two hours
waiting for a new bus...life is great!! But other than that, we are
just so thankful to be here. We have so many fun things planned and we
can't wait to meet all of these kids and create new friends! Each day
brings something new and we are really enjoying it so far. It only
gets better from here on out and we can't wait to share our experience
with all of you! Until then, we ask that you would continue to pray
for us as we prepare for the kids and pray for our traveling as well!
We know great things are going to take place this week! We miss you
all and we love you!
